Procedure: Toss all the ingredients for the Goddess Dressing into the food processor, this step is a perfect time for your preschooler to practice their measuring skills! If appropriate, they can also use kitchen scissors (with supervision) to cut up some of the greens before they go in to get in some fine motor fun too. Use food processor to blend all dressing ingredients until smooth. **Teacher Tip: Be sure to talk with your preschooler about what to expect when the food processor is moving. The movement inside the machine as well as the noise. Provide ear protection if you have a young learner that is sensitive to noise. Pour into a shallow bowl. This is a great time to talk about the texture before and after mixing and the smells you and your preschooler notice. Does the smell remind them of anything they have eaten before? What type of dressing do they usually prefer? Slice cucumber lilly pads and place on top of dressing. Consider offering your preschooler nylon kid safe knives to help with this step. Cut cherry tomato flowers as shown and place on top of dressing. Serve with additional sliced cucumbers and cherry tomatoes.
